- CryptoPunks passed $1.1 billion in all-time transaction volumes this week and hit a floor price of 140 ETH (almost $450k). In April, the project had done $200 million in all-time transaction volumes and had a floor price of $30k. Link.
- NFT marketplace OpenSea passed $1 billion in monthly trading volume. Link.
- Visa purchased CryptoPunk #7610 for 49.5 ETH (roughly $150k). Link. CryptoPunk.
- Bored Ape Yacht Club sold $96 million of Mutant Ape NFTs in under an hour this weekend. The Mutant Ape Yacht Club is a collection of 20k NFTs that are derivatives of the popular Bored Ape NFTs. 10k of the collection went to existing Bored Ape NFT holders, while the remaining 10k were sold to the public. - Prices for Bored Ape NFTs have been rising quickly and hit a floor of 50 ETH (about $160k) this week. Price spiked even higher on Friday night after NBA champion Steph Curry announced he had joined the Bored Ape Yacht Club by purchasing an ape for 55 ETH ($180k). Link. SC Bored Ape.
- Avalanche's DeFi ecosystem has grown from $180 million in total value locked at the end of July to over $1.8 billion today driven largely by its new $180 million incentive program. Sushiswap, Aave, and Curve are already participating in the program. Link.
- Art Blocks, a popular platform for generative artists, saw one of its NFTs sell for $5.8 million, a record for the platform. Ringers #879 was minted 7 months ago and was purchased by Three Arrows Capital, a Singapore-based crypto investment firm. The firm also owns 10 NFTs from Tyler Hobbs's 'Fidenza' collection for which it paid just over $1 million. Link.
- Cardano's ADA token gained 112% this month and is currently the third largest cryptocurrency by market cap at $92 billion.The number of wallet addresses holding ADA for fewer than 30 days increased by 10% month over month, a signal that fresh buyers are coming in. Link.
- Solana's SOL token has broken into the top 10 largest cryptocurrencies by market cap at $26 billion and is sitting ahead of Polkadot. SOL recently moved into the NFT space, with the launch of Degenerate Ape Academy, a new NFT pfp project. Link.

- Paxos, the company behind the Paxos Standard stablecoin (PAX) is changing the name of the stablecoin to Pax Dollar (USDP). Link.
- EDM artist and NFT influencer 3LAU raised $16 million for Royal, a new platform that allows fans to buy shares of songs and earn royalties on them. Link.
- ENS now allows you to port traditional DNS domains like .com, .edu, etc and link them directly to your wallet address. ENS allows you to send directly to a website like maaria.eth. Link.
- Substack's 500,000 paying subscribers can now pay for subscriptions in bitcoin. Substack is partnering with Lightning operator OpenNode to support this. Link.
- Blockstream raised $210 million Series B valuing the company at $3.2 billion and announced plans to acquire Israeli bitcoin mining hardware manufacturer Spondoolies. Blockstream wants to build out a business line for ASICs. Link.
