- ETH surged over 20% this week passing $4,200 for the first time since 2021. Spot ethereum ETFs saw record inflows of $327 million and $184 million in shorts were liquidated. Price is also being driven by demand from Ethereum-focused digital-asset treasury firms, which have bought more than $12 billion ETH YTD. Link. Link

- Bitcoin 90-day rolling volatility fell to all time lows as steady inflows from institutional investors has led to diminishing price swings. Link

- A Manhattan jury found Tornado Cash co-founder Roman Storm guilty of operating an unlicensed money transmitter, but deadlocked on the more serious money laundering and sanctions charges. Link. Link. Link

- President Trump signed an executive order opening the $8.7 trillion in 401(k) retirement savings plans to private equity, cryptocurrency, and other alternative investment assets. Link. Link

- The SEC and Ripple formally ended their legal dispute by dropping their respective appeals, finalizing a $125 million settlement and cementing the 2023 court ruling that XRP sales to institutions were securities violations while public exchange sales were not. Link. Link

- China told local brokers to stop publishing research that promotes stablecoins in mainland China over concerns of instability and increased fraud. Link

- China is testing stablecoin issuance through Hong Kong, in an effort to internationalize the renminbi and compete with the US dollar in global markets. Link

- Base, Coinbase's Ethereum Layer 2 network, surpassed Solana in daily token creation largely due to the growth of Zora's Creator Coins platform which turns social media posts into tradable tokens. Link

- A now deleted Aave governance proposal revealed that MetaMask is partnering with Stripe and stablecoin platform M^0 to launch a native stablecoin called mmUSD. The governance proposal suggested Aave integrate the new stablecoin. Link. Link

- President Trump signed an executive order directing federal bank regulators to investigate "debanking" and impose fines on banks found to have denied services based on political or religious grounds. Many crypto founders reported losing banking access during the Biden administration. Link
